This article will walk you through how to upgrade or downgrade your calling plan directly from the Parent Portal. It also highlights the features and benefits of each plan so you can choose the one that best fits your family’s needs. 


  • Do Plan: Includes all the basic and essential features needed for everyday communication. It is limited to only a few apps.


  • Dream PlanIncludes all the basic and essential features on the plan, plus the ability to use MMS for images and group texting unlimitedly, while keeping a limited number of apps available.


  • Discover Plan: Includes all the basic and essential features on the plan, plus the ability to use MMS for images and group texting unlimitedly, along with access to a safe browser and apps that are deemed safe for users.


  • Discover Plan + 1 GB: Includes all the basic and essential features on the plan, plus the ability to use MMS for images and group texting unlimitedly, along with access to a safe browser and apps that are deemed safe for users, plus one gigabyte (1GB) of mobile data to use apps requiring streaming or internet access away from Wi-Fi.


  • Discover Plan + 3 GB: Includes all the basic and essential features on the plan, plus the ability to use MMS for images and group texting unlimitedly, along with access to a safe browser and apps that are deemed safe for users, plus three gigabytes (3 GB) of mobile data to use apps requiring streaming or internet access away from Wi-Fi.



You can upgrade or downgrade your service at any time. It's literally as easy as clicking a button! Are you ready to make the change? Here's what you'll need to do...


1. Log into your Parent Portal account.


2. Click on the Settings option at the bottom for phone users or on the left side of the screen for laptop users.




3. Then press Phone Settings. Under "My Active Plan," press "Edit Plan."



4. Click the "Edit Plan." This will take you to the Edit Plan screen.



6. The calling plans are listed at the top, with the benefits of each listed below. Below each price, there is a purple button. The plan you currently have will say Selected Plan.



7. Press the purple "Select Plan" button under the plan you want.



8. Make sure to click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.



9. Finally, confirm the plan change by reading through the disclaimer and clicking "Change Plan."



10. You're all set! Just refresh the browser and make sure you are seeing the correct plan in the 'Phone Plan' section in the Parent Portal. 



Your plan change will be reflected in the next billing cycle. You will be prorated based on when you upgraded or downgraded. If you are upgrading, your new features will be available instantly, as long as the phone is actively syncing to the Parent Portal. If you are downgrading, decreased access will be immediate as well.


If you run into any issues while upgrading/downgrading the plan, here are a couple of helpful things you can try:


1. If you are trying to change the plan from a cellular device, try from a laptop or desktop.


2. Try using a different browser.


3. If you don't have a different browser, you can clear the cache and cookies (these steps are browser specific and instructions are available through the developer's website). 


4. Put your browser in Incognito mode.
